Technology develops so fast that we sometimes don’t notice it. We were once on a point that we don’t have computers to play with and looking now, developers are trying to eliminate the bounds of virtual world and reality. Though we are enjoying the rapid development of technology right now, some people just love the things that they were accustomed to using. Despite of the availability of these new technologies, the good old times still provides us the peak of our happiness. This is like OSRS. OSRS Gold I should say.
OSRS Gold: Old but Still Fun
Old School Runescape is a great example. With all the great games coming out with the highest of technologies used in their development, they sometimes cannot reach out to some players of OSRS. The memories and the lasting fun provided by this “dying” game. Take this testimony from a poster in Reddit:
Sometimes, I sit and think how strange it is that we love this game so much. Games all around are pursuing ridiculously realistic graphics, futuristic content, and hell, virtual reality.
But I am soooooooo content with sitting on the computer, using arrow keys and a mouse, looking at graphics generated 8 years ago, doing the same things I did at 13 years old.
One day, I will attempt to explain this game to my child and he will laugh, throw on his virtual reality headset, and continue to sprint around the living room. And I will reflect on my days spent slaying and skilling on old school.
Actually there is nothing new to what the poster said. A comment to the original post said it all:
the game is simplistic and features a unique combat system and skilling system. It’s not strange.
Which I totally agree with. A game shouldn’t be complex for everyone to enjoy. Sometimes we want something so simple but still as fun as those of newer games coming out. So yeah, instead of buying new games, I’ll just buy OSRS gold and stick to this vintage game I grew up playing.
