This method can be done on any Runescape account that has completed the Rune Mysteries. Although you can do this without special Runescape items, it’s recommended you have a Rune Pickaxe. You can get this at the Grand Exchange for around 18,600 Rs gold.

Rune mining and Runescape gold

One of the locations to mine Rune Essence is a mine near Varrock. You can get there by heading to Aubury’s Rune Shop in Varrock. Inside, right-click Aubury and choose teleport. You’ll be sent to the mine so start mining! Fill up your inventory, run to the bank and repeat. Rune Essence sells for 19 rs gold in the Grand Exchange.
