If you have been playing the game since launch, your OSRS account would be more or less nine years old. Yes, good nine years of fun in Runescape 07. Playing for the game that long most likely will make you run out of things to do. It is 2016, even if you think you have nothing more to do in the MMORPG, there are still so many stuff to achieve. A Reddit post from cruseder4 sparked my curiosity to what other players plan to accomplish this year. Here is the post:
Post your goals here. I will make another post at the end of 2016 referring back to this post to see if people have reached their goals for 2016 :). My goals are:
- Completion of all elite achievement diaries
- 90+ all stats
- 99 smithing
- Venenatis pet
- Kill every boss in OSRS at least 100 times
Very interesting goals from cruseder4. What made me smile was to kill every boss at least 100 times. That demands a lot of dedication and resolve, well, on not getting sick of killing them. In short, burnout. Nevertheless, pretty amazing goals to start the year!

One set his goal in getting a quest cape! Wow! Good for him. He mentioned that he is motivated to do this because he just got back in the game after a hiatus. The motivation of doing things again from scratch is unreal, I could imagine. I have experienced the same thing and after recovering top character shape, it’s really fulfilling.
Another reply is somewhat funny but sad because he said that his goal is to completely drop the game. Yeah, his actual goal is to quit the game. Here is Denemtiev’s post:
“My goal for 2016 is to completely quit playing this game.
I am currently a berserker pure with 88 str, 76 range, 71 mage, nothing special.”
I can somewhat understand his side because as much as OSRS is getting left behind in the MMORPG race, it is still addicting. With those characters and their levels, it would be a waste not maxing them out. If it were me, I would max them out first before I can actually say goodbye to OSRS. But we all hope he won’t quit the game.
