Item Lending which is compatible for both Free and Members allows the players to lend their items to your friends up to 24 hours or when the player logs out. This kind of feature was released on July 14, 2008.

The features of Item Lending and the benefits for gaining RS Gold

The Item Lending helps you to prevent scams using trust trading method. This way not only you can earn RS gold from it but also helps you to protect your RS gold. In order for you to lend the items to someone other than your friends, they need to turn on the “Accept Aid”. After that either you or the other player needs to start the trade. Other than the “offer” option on the trading window, there will be a “Lending” option.  Simply choose the item you want to lend and choose how long you will lend that item for the other player. You can either lend the item for free or by offering some RS gold.

Once the time for Item Lending is expired, you can retrieve the item via the banker’s possession. Just simply talk to the banker and choose the “I’d like to see my returned item box” option in order for you to retrieve item.
