Okay, you want to enforce your rules because they are after all, the rules. But come on, Jagex, striking your ban hammer on everyone even though they didn’t do anything? On top of that, when they appealed that they didn’t do the sin, you still force that they did without giving any consideration or at least benefit of the doubt. They just “no, you did it and we will not rescind the ban on you.” That is why people quit the game because the very people, who should be protecting the players, don’t. That is why the number of Old School Runescape Accounts diminishes day by day.

You would ask where all this hate directed at Jagex came from? Well, weeks and months of spending time reading stories in Reddit and talking to other people aware of the mass banning of innocent players, I think it’s about time to say something about it. For example, Whitay_2 in Reddit was banned for something that he was completely not at fault. Okay, we cannot say that he REALLY didn’t but here comes benefit of the doubt. Let’s hear him out with a part of his original post.

This was in the downloadable 07 client. I stopped logging in for a few weeks as I got very busy, and I came back to try and log in and got the “your account has been banned for botting in osrs no appeal etc” letter, which confused me tons. I have not used any sort of macro bot programs. I would simply log in to mine some gold to try and get a bond, but now all of my accounts are banned for “macroing in OSRS”.

Okay, his account got detected of a malicious bot and he got banned. Of course, completely innocent about it, he complained. But why is it that the response is “no, you did bot and we will not hear you out” or the very least, they will rescind the ban after a year. Imagine, A YEAR. By then, Whitay_2 quitted OSRS already or worse, he posted it in OSRS Accounts for sale sites. And people why OSRS or Jagex doesn’t get any love right? The irony is sickening.
