There are a lot of stories created because of MMORPGs. Most are in-game related stories like something they experienced while playing let’s say in their Old School Runescape Accounts. It is rare that you hear or read stories that is connected to real life. Well, as I spend a lot of my useless time in the internet, I did come across on a story that actually broke the gap between the online life and the real world life. You say it is not possible? Read on to find out.
Old School Runescape Accounts Love Story
I read this love story in Reddit that is connected to their Runescape 2007 Accounts. How their love story was formed wasn’t elaborated but I think the girl has a problem in letting her parents know how she and her fiancé how they met. Here is the complete post of lady:
When I was about 14 years old, I played a lot of Runescape. Met a small group of people from there. There was a guy that lived a state away, but we weren’t very close, so I never gave him much thought. Lost touch with that group through high school.
Fast forward about 5 years. Got a Facebook account and started reconnecting with some of them. I was about to move to a small town for college and was talking to somebody from that group about it. Mentions that that guy goes to the same school. Cool!
That guy and I didn’t hang out for almost two years, but eventually we did, and we started dating. 3.5 years later, and our wedding is in August. Some of our friends from Runescape will be attending. One of them is officiating. People we’ve met on Reddit will be attending, etc. Lots of people know how we met.
My parents don’t know though. I got in enough trouble as a teen for chatting with strangers online. And our college town was small enough that we could basically just tell people that we met at school. But now he’s saying that my parents should know the truth so they don’t find out at our wedding. What’s the best way to tell them? They already love him so we have that on our side.
Tl;dr: How do we tell parents that we met online 10 years ago?
Though it is an understandable problem and I feel for the couple, I still feel happy for them and hearing (reading in this case) stories like this one is a refreshing moment.
Do you feel for them? Do you have a story like this one connected to your Runescape 2007 Accounts? Feel free to share them in the comments section.
