It is rare for the gaming company to listen to their players for the fixes needed in the game. This has been a norm ever since the birth of MMORPG. Yes, players report to the GM’s the bugs they encounter in the game and the company fixes them but it is different in terms of suggestions.

OSRS Gold: Players’ Suggest

We can say that players aren’t always right and developers and the game’s programmers know better. It is true but that doesn’t mean players don’t know anything. Actually if there’s anything, players know what they are suggesting. Again, not all the time. But we do wish that the gaming company’s programmers take into account these players suggestion. After all, players are just suggesting something because that is their observation to the game they love and play on a daily basis and we can assume those suggestions are to make the game even better.

That is the root of dissatisfaction of players thus resulting to them quitting. When GM’s and programmers don’t listen to suggestion, that is. Players submit tickets with suggestions or visit the official forum to post in the suggestions page but to no avail. All of those are usually in vain and goes nowhere. It is like talking to a wall, mentioning all of your dreams and how you can achieve them but, you are talking to a solid object who doesn’t care about you. Yeah, that’s how it feels to every player trying to suggest something to programmers.

Well, we all know that OSRS is still up because of the demand to keep it running. So I guess that was a good start in listening to the community and meeting their demand. But Jagex shouldn’t stop there. After them agreeing to keep the game running, they should stay committed. I have been seeing lately the flux of complaints and suggestions that aren’t being responded to by Jagex. It is saddening actually to realize that they poured all their hearts out on their posts and tickets but getting no respond. It’s like you buy OSRS gold but you really get nothing. Hopefully this changes as OSRS is a community driven game and hopefully Jagex realizes how important players’ suggestions and comments are in keeping the game up and lucrative.
