She plays Minecraft exclusively, so I know she has the propensity to understand open world games like this.

She is unfamiliar with ‘character building’, however.

How can I introduce her to RS without making it feel like a grindfest?

So yeah, Minecraft is a very addictive game and is a type of game that once you start, you cannot stop. It is so addicting that it should be called a vice and not a game. But yeah, Minecraft is a whole different game from Old School Runescape and it will be a big transition for his gamer girlfriend if ever.

Quests. Quests will get her into the game. Not only do quests grant skills xp, but they will introduce her to different mechanics and the lore of the game. That’s a start.

 

Show her some boaty videos -> she falls in love w boaty and leaves you to become a famous runescape streamer to get boaty’s attention

No but for real, show her some videos and explain her that you have to move by clicking, it turns a lot of people off for some reason..

 

Give her some money to start out first my girl friend hated when she was poor gave her some gold to spend on some fashionscape an now shes pretty addicted to it

 

I agree with the last comment. If he expected her to go into the game, assist her like giving her gold to start with. I don’t know, buy RS 07 Gold or farm himself to give her. But in terms of grinding, Minecraft is a grindfest game by itself. So if switching from Minecraft to OSRS, the grinding part and going to be a problem.
